Centurion Energy International Inc., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Dana Gas, is engaged in oil and gas exploration and production with properties located in Egypt, Tunisia and offshore West Africa.
The principal area for Centurion’s activity is currently the Nile Delta in Egypt. Centurion’s average daily production has increased almost 15-fold from 2,060 boed in 2002 to 29,000 boed in 2007. In 2007 over 80% of production (on a boe basis) was sales gas with the remainder being oil, condensates and LPG sales. Centurion has the resources and project management ability to undertake complex exploration and development programmes, and its recent achievements include the first discovery of oil in commercial volumes in Southern Egypt.
Additionally Centurion has exploration interests in both the Nile Delta region of Egypt and Upper Egypt, Tunisia and a 9.5% net interest in Block 4 in the Joint Development Zone of Nigeria/Sao Tome.
With a strong International Management Team and focused strategy, Centurion envisions ongoing expansion within the Dana Gas sphere of operation throughout the Middle East and North Africa regions.
